Payment gateway

Fondy’s international payment gateway is designed for businesses aiming to reach global markets. Similar to those offered by Airwallex or Payoneer.

The gateway over 300 payment methods, including cards, local banks, and eWallets like Apple Pay. There's also support for methods like SEPA, We Chat Pay and Bancontact. Zen is the most similar option to Fondy here.

A geolocation feature means customers see payment methods and languages tailored to their region. This could potentially improve conversion rates through the gateway itself.

Then, currency conversion at payment (where needed) help businesses manage cross-border transactions. Exchange rates can be as high as 4% for unsupported currencies, but generally with IBAN accounts, costs can be around 1% to 1.2%.

In-app payments

Fondy, like Rapyd, also has an option for in-app payments. This works across iOS, Android, and React Native platforms.

The responsive design ensures a consistent checkout flow, regardless of device. Like the gateway, the app option supports a wide range of payment methods and currencies.

With this, there's tokenization options too. This means customers can complete purchases quickly with saved details.

Then, with cross device, and border, payments there is a need for security. Fondy's app option has built-in security features and GDPR compliance. This projects both the customer and your business.

Marketplace payments

Fondy’s marketplace payment solution caters to platforms managing multiple sellers or services. This includes support for Amazon Marketplace as most others do. As an aside, Payoneer offers more integrations than Fondy.

Fondy's offering comes with features like partner onboarding and multiparty payout options. This simplifies how you can be paid from different places. Payoneer is a little different, in that you simply get paid into your Payoneer account.

Businesses can split payments, customize payout schedules, and access instant settlements. This is across the 150 currencies and 300 payment methods supported in parts of the product

Billing and invoicing

Fondy makes invoicing easier by offering businesses a straightforward way to send and manage payments internationally. GoCardless is considered one of the best on the market, but Fondy offers a competitive product.

Single or bulk invoices are supported, and payment can be accepted in over 150 currencies. There are also options for recurring billing. Each invoice can include a payment link, allowing customers to pay quickly.

All cross-border invoicing has features like real-time tracking and automated payment reminders to help you keep on top of late payments.

Also, there's access to this feature across multiple devices, so it is possible to manage invoices wherever you are.

Multi-currency IBAN accounts

Fondy’s multicurrency accounts, branded as Flow. These accounts provide IBANs for each currency, if you need local accounts with a payment way then opt for Airwallex or Sokin.

Local or IBAN accounts?

A local account is specific to a single country or region. It typically supports domestic transactions in the local currency. These are ideal for businesses operating within that area.

An IBAN account is internationally standardised. This allows businesses to receive and send payments across borders with ease. This includes being able to hold currencies for a later date.

Both have value, and options for either are offered by cross border payment platforms. For example, Sokin offers 75 IBAN accounts and 4 local accounts.

Funds can be held in their original currency or converted at competitive rates, minimizing exchange costs.

Through an IBAN account you can makes batch payments, one-off payments and recurring payments.

You will get access to a dashboard offers full visibility over payments, settlements, and invoices.

Across all product options, Fondy is a powerful tool for businesses looking to simplify and optimize their cross-border operations.
